Nikola Tesla was a Serbian inventor, electrical engineer, mechanical engineer, physicist, and futurist. Tesla is best known for his Tesla Coil, for which he conducted many experiments in his lab on the generation and distribution of alternating current electricity. 

The Westinghouse company used Tesla’s designs for generators and distribution systems to build a power station at Niagara Falls.  Based on Tesla's work, our modern-day power grid brings electricity freely to our homes today.
