Product Description
Where does the museum end and the outside world begin?
In the summer of 2013, Exploratorium Artist-in-Residence Harrell Fletcher and a core group of hikers embarked on an epic, four-day trek that followed a line of sight from the Exploratorium to the summit of Mount Diablo, some 40 miles away. Their path was seeded with dozens of site-specific public demonstrations, screenings, and talks designed by museum staff and a diverse group of community partners.
This collection contextualizes the ideas and motivations embodied in the journey with the field of social practice, walking, education and literature.
